(Sarajevo -) Čapljina ŽFBH - Metković HŽ (- Ploče): [E] Two train pairs run across this border. HŽ operates to Čapljina.
(Bihać ŽRS -) Martin Brod ŽFBH - Knin HŽ: [D] This line crosses the border between Bosnia-Hercegovina and Croatia seven times. Martin Brod has been adopted as the official border station. A ceremonial passenger train, conveying government ministers from both countries, operated over the line on 26 January 2001. The line sees occasional freight traffic, but there is no likelihood of the proposed passenger service starting in the near future.
(Novi Grad -) Dobrljin ŽRS - Volinja HŽ (- Sunja): [E] one pair of day trains between Ploce and Zagreb, and one pair of night trains between Sarajevo and Zagreb, run across this border, with ŽRS operating to Volinja. Novi Grad was formerly named Bosanski Novi.
Srpski Brod ŽRS - Slavonski Brod HŽ: [D] This route closed during the break-up of Yugoslavia but re-opened sometime around 2003. It carries a small amount of freight traffic across the Sava river bridge. Originally this line was narrow gauge, and connected into the main Yugoslav narrow gauge system at Doboj, via Derventa.
(Doboj -) Šamac ŽFBH - Slavonski Šamac HŽ (- Strizivojna-Vrpolje): [E] Two train pairs run via this route: between Beograd and Banja Luka, and between Budapest and Sarajevo. ŽFBH operates to Slavonski Šamac. Šamac is referred to as Bosanski Šamac in the Croatian timetable.
(Tuzla -) Brčko ŽFBH - Gunja HŽ (- Vinkovci): [D] From the December 2002 timetable change, one ŽFBH train pair has run between Tuzla and Drenovci, with connections on to Vinkovci.

(Bijeljina -) Velino Selo ŽRS - Sremska Rača Nova ŽS (- Šid): [D] ŽS operates to Bijeljina; there is no connection to the rest of the railway system of Bosnia-Hercegovina. Passenger service over the whole route from Šid to Bijeljina ceased at the December 2005 timetable change. Note: this crossing was available to local passport holders only.
(Tuzla -) Zvornik Novi ŽRS - Brasina ŽS (- Ruma): [D] This line was built in 1978 and carries ŽS freight traffic to a large works at Zvornik Novi. The route is shown wrongly, or not at all, on many maps, and runs from Rasputnica [= junction] Donja Borina, just south of Brasina on the Ruma - Zvornik Grad line, via a cross-border river bridge to Zvornik Novi. The line between onwards from Zvornik Novi towards Tuzla is of even newer construction and is fully described here.
(Požega -) Ribnica Zlatiborska ŽS - Jablanice ŽRS - Štrpci ŽRS - Rača ŽS (- Podgorica): [E] The line crosses the border twice, with stations within Bosnia-Hercegovina at Jablanice and Štrpci. ŽS operates all trains.
