This list is based on the timetable dated from 13 December 2009 – 11 December 2010 (Graphical timetable TRV T10) and the public timetables (available from www.resplus.se during the validity of the graphical timetable) unless otherwise shown. It is recommended that the instructions in Sweden - General Information are followed for details on how to obtain relevant timetables.
Standard abbreviations used are explained in the General Information document.
Last update for this page: 22 June 2010.
Ånge – Bräcke (Moradal) (via Ångebyn) [20/40/41/42/44] (14B3) SE10/1
Available as an alternative to the north line, which is single track between Ånge station and Moradal. When trains are scheduled to cross within 6/7 minutes of Ånge, one would use this route - subject to punctual running of both trains.
| D{1} | 92 | Stockholm C – 01:39 Ånge – Luleå C |
Note:
{1}: See public timetables 20/40/41/42/44 for information on operating dates and exceptions.
Stockholm Syd Flemingsberg – Järna (Järna Jn.) [60/61/80/81/114/115] (23B1) SE10/2
Main line trains use the new (1995) Grödinge line, while local services use the former main line between these points. Trains for the Eskilstuna line also use the Grödinge line, between Stockholm and Södertälje Syd.
Mora (Morastrand) – Oxberg (14A2) SE10/3
This line has no regular passenger service but in recent years a special train has run between Mora and Oxberg in conjunction with a skiing event (see www.vasaloppet.se or www.sjevent.se) on or near the last weekend in February.
Gävle Central – Gävle Sveriges Järnvägsmuseum (15A1) SE10/4
A short electrified branch provides access to the railway museum. Working involves reversal at Gävle C for trains from the south, then shunt move to/from museum. When specials from Stockholm and Uppsala operate, normally on two weekends in the Autumn, details should be available on the website www.jarnvagsmuseum.se when known. Look for headline "Årgångståget".
Järna – Norrköping (Åby) [81] (22B2 and 23A2) SE10/5
Trains between Stockholm and Norrköping with no booked stops between Södertälje Syd and Norrköping usually run via Katrineholm. This is faster than the shorter route through Nyköping and is also double track throughout.
Grängesberg – Ställdalen (via Silverhöjden) [53, 75] (22A1) SE10/6
The former TGOJ line, which parallels the normal ex-BJ line, is available as an extended passing loop. It still has CTC, but the maximum speed is reduced. It can be used to avoid delays when crossing another train, subject to punctual running of both trains. Routing may be altered for operational convenience.

| {1} | {1} | 211 | Lund C - 21:33 Malmö Persborg – Berlin Hbf |
| {1} | {1} | 210 | 23:01 Berlin Hbf – [07:35 (next day) Trelleborg –] Lund |
Note:
{1}: Daily only in summer , see public timetable 102. Only available for through journeys Lund/Malmö Persborg <==> Berlin.
Vännäs - Umeå (including north and south chords at Vännäs) [40] (7B2, partly shown) SE10/8
These sections are used by night trains between Boden and the south seen in public timetable 40 calling at Umeå C (or Umeå Ö whilst Umeå C is closed for rebuilding). The Luleå – Umeå and v v train pair is not shown in the Summer 2010 public timetable. However, a reliable source has indicated that the public timetable is incorrect and these trains will operate between Luleå & Umeå from 22 August and will continue to Örnsköldsvik from 30 August. When the night train pair calling at Umeå transfers to the Botniabanan on 29/30 August 2010, no passenger trains will use the south chord. It is not known at present if the Umeå – Lycksele service, which is planned to resume in August 2011, will call at Vännäs and use the south chord.
Vännäs – Vindeln (Vännäs north Jn) [40] (7B2) SE10/9
This section of the main line allows direct running between Boden and the south, and is used by night trains seen in public timetable 40 not calling at Umeå C. It is anticipated that these night trains will transfer to the Botniabanan from 12 December 2010 and that this section will lose its passenger service from this date.
Nyköping Södra – Oxelösund (22B2) SE10/10
On one Saturday early in May each year (2008 date: 10 May), Grängesbergsbanornas Järnvägsmuseum (GBBJ) run a special veteran train shuttle service for a street fair at Oxelösund ("Oxelösund marknad"). Visit website www.gbbj.nu nearer the time for details. Note: Nyköping Södra is almost opposite the bus station.
In conjunction with this, the empty stock is moved from Grängesberg museum on the Friday and returns on the Sunday, using the following freight lines: Lindesberg (Frövi north jn.) – Valskog (Jädersbruk jn.), Mellösa (Flens övre jn.) – Nyköping – Oxelösund and route SE10/6. GBBJ have been prepared to carry passengers by prior arrangement - contact the Society well in advance, using this e-mail address.
Öre Älv (Vännäs)– Oxmyran (Mellansel) (via Nyåker) (7B2, not shown) SE10/11
The use of this route is planned to avoid time-consuming crossings. Routing can be changed for operational convenience.
| D{1} | 94 | Stockholm C – 00:27 Långsele – Luleå C / Narvik |
Note:
{1}: See public timetable 40 for information on operating dates and exceptions.
Malmö C avoiding line (Östervärn – Mamö Yard) [80] (25A1) SE10/12
Between August 2009 and the opening of the city tunnel in Malmö in December 2010, there is a comprehensive rebuild of Malmö C station, and the number of available tracks is halved.
Veolia operates weekend trains in competition with SJ, and most of these do not use Malmö C. Between 13 December 2009 and 11 December 2010 most SJ loco hauled trains also will not use Malmö C.. See public timetable 80 for information on days and times.
Information on the charter train to Mora/Oxberg has been removed from here. If it runs, information will most likely be available on www.vasaloppet.se or www.sjevent.se.
During the rebuild of Malmö C, trains to and from Berlin will be routed to and from Lund C. These will call at Malmö Persborg, but not at Malmö C and use this route. See also SE10/7 above.
Halmstad (Eldsberga) – Hässleholm [100] (25A2 and 25B2) SE10/13
This north-west – south-east link is used by X2000-services and a weekend IC-train Malmö C – Göteborg C and vice versa. In summer it is also used by night trains Malmö – Stockholm/Oslo and v v. See public timetable 100.
Bollnäs (Ovansjö) – Bräcke (Moradal) (via Ångebyn) [40/42/44] (14B3) SE10/14
A freight line, which is a short-cut just west of Ånge bypassing Ånge and Ånge yard.

| H{1} | SuO | 83 | Duved – 15:23 Östersund C – Stockholm C |

{1}: See public timetables 20/42/44 for information on operating dates and exceptions.
Arboga (Jädersbruk jn) – Frövi [57] (22AB3) SE10/15
A freight line, with less gradients than the normal Arboga – Örebro route. No passenger train is currently using this line.
Hallsberg – Skymossen jn (– Motala – Mjölby) [53] (22A2) SE10/16
In June 2007 this line was transferred to TiB/TKAB from SJ, and converted to EMU operation. This means that the eastern route Hallsberg – Skymossen is again in use for passenger trains after several years. All passenger trains are now planned to use the eastern route, and none the western route via the yard..
Ockelbo – Storvik [20] (14B1) SE10/17
A short-cut, normally used for freight only.
| H{1} | SuO | 10881 | Duved – 18:51 Östersund C – Malmö C |
| H{1} | SuO | 10880 | Malmö C – 22:32 Göteborg C – Duved |
Note:
{1}: See public timetable 20 for information on operating dates and exceptions.
Degerfors (Laxå North Jn) – Laxå / Hallsberg [70,78] (22A2) SE10/18
Trains listed in public timetable 70 will, as before use the north to east Laxå avoiding line. Trains listed in public timetable 78 will use the north to west spur and call at Laxå station.
Umeå C – Umeå Ö - Örnsköldvik – Mellansel [35,40] (7B1-8A2 not shown) SE10/19
The first part of the Botniabanan, Umeå – Örnsköldsvik, will be officially opened by the King on 28 August 2010, with public services starting the following day. SJ will operate one night train pair from 29/30 August; see public timetable 40. It is expected that all SJ night trains will transfer to this route from the timetable change in December 2010. Local services operated by Norrtåg (Mon-Fri only until August 2011) will appear in the public timetable in table 35. At time of writing this table is empty but the timings can be found in the local newspaper. Please note the closure of Umeå C station for rebuilding: see General Information. This means that passenger services will resume between Mellansel and Örnsköldsvik from the same date. Only the night train pair/pairs can be expected to use this route. When the entire line to Örnsköldsvik opens in autumn 2011, Mellansel – Örnsköldsvik will probably once again lose its passenger service.
Åstorp – Kattarp [91] (25A2) SE10/20
The routing of some direct trains between Helsingborg and Åstorp via Kattarp has resumed.
| SSuX | 1863 | Kristianstad C – 07:02 Åstorp – Helsingborg C | |
| SSuX | 1887 | Kristianstad C – 19:02 Åstorp – Helsingborg C | |
