Mobberley crossing and signal box from the station platform. Mobberley, 4 miles south of Altrincham, is the next working box south of Deansgate Junction. To the south, Mobberley works to Plumley, 6 miles away. The station was opened on the line's opening day 12/05/1862 by the Cheshire Midland Railway, which was absorbed by the Cheshire Lines Committee on 15/08/1867.
