Looking south-westwards from Moore Lane bridge, Railway Deviation No.1, the present West Coast Main Line, is to the right; the original London & North Western Railway route is straight ahead at the lower level. The masonry bridge is the original Moore Lane bridge built by the Grand Junction Railway for the opening of the line in 1837.
