Moore Lane bridge (LNWR)
Looking north-eastwards from Moore Lane bridge along Railway Deviation No.1, the present West Coast Main Line. In the distance is Acton Grange Junction, then just beyond that are the girder bridges over the Ship Canal. Acton Grange Junction is where the former Great Western Railway (GWR) route from Helsby and Chester, Deviation No.2, runs alongside Railway Deviation No.1. After the Ship Canal bridge, the GWR route drops down to cross the River Mersey at a lower level before climbing again to reach Warrington Bank Quay station.
