RENFE (Red Nacional de los Ferrocarriles Españoles, Spanish National Railways) class 599 broad gauge DMU 599009 at Vigo Guixar ready to work train 12538, 15:02 to A Coruña; I wil take this train as far as Santiago de Compostela. Much of this line has been rebuilt and electrified, but this train calls at some of the stations (including Catoira) retained on a non-electrified loop off the new line. One station, Portela, is on its own non-electrified loop off the new line, but this is only served by a pair of evening trains.
