Wednesday 04/05/2022. A day travelling around the Merseyrail area with a couple of friends, mainly to photograph the Merseyrail Class 507 and 508 units before they start to be withdrawn from service. Main ticket used: Merseytravel Saveaway All Areas (£5.65 for all day travel after 09.30).
Itinerary: home - tram to Manchester - TPE train via Chat Moss to Liverpool Lime Street - West Kirby - Birkenhead North - New Brighton - Hamilton Square - Chester (lunch) - Hooton - Ellesmere Port - Hooton - Hamilton Square - Lime Street (dinner then visit some pubs) - Northern train via CLC to Deansgate - tram home.
