Italian State Railways (FS) electric locomotive E492 004 at the head of the 14:14 train from Szombathely to Budapest Déli pu. V43 1174 was dead in the train. The E492 had been built for the railways of Sardegna, but these were never electrified. As the E492 can only run on the standard 25 kV 50 Hz electrification, it is of no use on the Italian mainland. The loco was hired to Hungarian State Railways (MÁV) presumably with a view to a sale, but this never happened.
