Birch Road level crossing, looking roughly southwards towards Sinderland Lane. Left is towards Skelton Jn, right is towards Partington and Glazebrook. The line is still owned by Network Rail at this point, but west of here (to the right) all track has been removed. Note the remains of the wicket gate.
