Looking roughly eastwards from Glazebrook Lane overbridge towards Manchester along the route of the 1873 Cheshire Lines Committee railway from Liverpool Brunswick to Manchester Oxford Road. Glazebrook East Jn signal box is visible to the left. The divergence towards Cadishead and Skelton Jn was to the right just beyond the signal box. Glazebrook station is behind the camera on the other side of the road bridge.
