Looking south from the A58 Lily Lane overbridge along the West Coast Main Line at Bamfurlong. The eponymous station site was in the foreground. Opened on 01/04/1878, closed to all traffic 27/11/1950. Assuming it is built to the current deposited plans, the route of High Speed 2 towards London will diverge to the left by a grade separated junction in the distance.
