The now-disused AA box at Mere crossroads, where the A50 (Warrington - Knutsford road) crossed the A556 (Northwich - Altrincham road). The A556 has been rebuilt and now passes to the west of here, so the old A556 has been downgraded to the B5569 and made into a pleasant rural road.
