Looking northwards from Wilton Lane along the course of the former Great Central Railway route towards the A580 East Lancashire Road and Lowton St Mary's. The HS2 planned route appears rise up from a cutting and bridge under the East Lancashire Road to run across the field to the left roughly at ground level.
