Looking eastwards along the Trans Pennine Trail (TPT) about 500 m east of Mill Lane level crossing, this bridge carries the trackbed over the River Bollin. The planned HS2 route will cross the River flood plain just beyond here from left to right on a 350 m long viaduct. The TPT here was formerly the Warrington and Altrincham Junction Railway, open for traffic from 1 November 1853 to 7 July 1985 between Warrington Arpley and Timperley Jn. Mill Lane was the site of Heatley & Warburton station.
