2-car diesel unit 156 488, operated by Northern, has just departed from Deansgate station platform 2 on a Manchester to Liverpool Lime Street service via Warrington Central.
Three-state banner repeater signal MC461BR is indicating that signal MC461 is showing a green "clear" aspect. Preliminary Route Indicator signal MC461PRI is showing a left-pointing arrow to indicate that signal MC461 is showing a "position 1" route indicator "feather", i.e. the route is set towards Cornbrook and Warrington Central.
Platform 1 also has a Three-state banner repeater signal MC463BR, this is showing that signal MC463 is showing a red "Danger" aspect.
Signals MC461 and MC463 can now be seen in the distance.
