Foxdale branch: Foxdale station looking southwards, away from St John's. This 2.5 mile line was built in 1886 to serve local lead mines, but these became disused in the early years of the 20th Century. The line closed to scheduled passenger services in 1940, though occasional specials ran until 1960.
