Foxdale branch: Looking southwards along Hope Road, the Foxdale branch ran under the road here where the parapets are visible. Foxdale was to the left, the Manx Northern Railway station was just to the right. In the distance at the bottom the slight hill, the Isle of Man Railway main line from Douglas to Peel crossed on the level from left to right: the Isle of Man Railway's St John's station was on the east side of the road.
