The old and the new - two nearly-new Class 1047 locomotives flank one somewhat older Class V43 locomotive in the stabling sidings at Sopron station on 14 October 2002. Whilst the V43 can only operate on 25 kV 50 Hz supply, the 1047s can also operate on the Austrian 15 kV 16.7 Hz system and are intended for use on cross-border services. These locos are operated by GySEV/ROeEE. MÁV also has some 1047s, which are similar to the Austrian Class 1116.
