Highlight of this trip was an authorised ride on a freight train from Budapest-Kelenföld to Hegyeshalom hauled by two of the former British Rail class 86 locomotives. Train 47382, seen here looped at Nagyszentjános, was running from Dunaújváros (south of Budapest) to Pont-a-Mousson in France, carrying Coke for use in the steel production process. The gross train load was 1451 tonnes. Seen here are 91 55 0450 001-7 and 91 55 0450 004-1, formerly 86248 and 86218 respectively. Four of these locomotives were in service at this time with Floyd Zrt., an open access freight train operator; with more being prepared for use.
