Looking towards Buxton from Dove Holes station platform. Half a mile away, up a 1 in 70 gradient, is Bibbington summit, 1140 feet above sea level. This is only 29 feet lower than the much better known summit at Ais Gill on the Settle & Carlisle Railway.
