10/06/2022. Taken from Knutsford Road swing bridge, "Swami" is just leaving the Manchester Ship Canal lock at Latchford, en route empty from Weaste (Eccles) to Limerick in Ireland. "Swami" is a regular on the bulk cement flows between Ireland and Weaste. The viaduct formerly carried the LNWR Warrington and Altrincham Junction Railway, the Ship Canal's Railway Deviation No.3, but it closed to all rail traffic in 1985.
