RENFE (Red Nacional de los Ferrocarriles Españoles, Spanish National Railways) Class 130 "Alvia" set 011 and 012 in one of the broad gauge platforms at València Joaquín Sorolla, the newer terminus in Valencia. Train 4110 had just arrived from Gijón and Madrid on the standard gauge high speed line and was continuing on, after reversal, to Castelló de la Plana. As an "Alvia" service this train had entered València Joaquín Sorolla station via the gauge changer, visible in the distance, and would continue on the broad gauge tracks - the connection can be seen to the left of the gauge changer building. Note that some of these Castelló <-> Madrid workings are formed of "AVE" standard-gauge only sets and use the standard gauge tracks between València and Castelló; the standard gauge platforms here at València Joaquín Sorolla are off to the right in this view.
Class 130 are dual gauge (1435 mm and 1668 mm) and dual voltage (3 kV dc and 25 kV 50 Hz).
