The frontage of the broad gauge station in Segovia. The station opened in 1884 towards Medina del Campo, and in 1888 towards Villalba (on the Madrid - Salamanca line). The station was always a terminus, with through any trains between Medina del Campo and Madrid reversing here, though a triangular junction was provided south of Segovia. The line to Medina del Campo closed in 1993, though much of the formation was used by the high speed line through Segovia-Guiomar which opened in 2007.
