Cercedilla is the junction between the broad gauge (Madrid -) Villalba - Segovia line and the metre gauge branch to Los Cotos. The metre gauge platforms are to the right, the broad gauge platforms to the left. I had intended to try to cover this branch, but I had been unable to obtain a seat reservation, presumably due to the attractions of the winter sports at Los Cotos.
