The organised trip started at Royal Albert Dock, next to the Canning Half Tide Dock that the trip would finish at, with a chartered bus to take participants to Sandon Half Tide Dock where "Daniel Adamson" was moored. This avoided the participants from having to make their own way through the docks area.
