Castelló de la Plana. On the left, in platform 4, RENFE class 130 set 08 has arrived with Euromed service 1161 from Barcelona Sants to Alicante via València. After its earlier passage through the gauge changer at La Boella, this train will run on broad gauge and 3 kV dc for the rest of its journey. Another class 130 set is calling at the adjacent platform 5, heading towards Barcelona.
The two tracks here can be seen as being dual, standard+broad, gauge, though the standard gauge rail is quite rusty. Tracks from here to València are dual gauge and standard gauge trains do run this far from Madrid via València, but they only use the far right platform 6 in this view.
