The new station at St Werburgh's Road on the line towards East Didsbury. The section to here from Old Trafford is due to open in Spring 2011, and beyond here to East Didsbury in Summer 2013.

This used to be the site of Chorlton-cum-Hardy Junction. Behind was the Cheshire Lines Committee (CLC) route into Manchester, straight ahead the Midland route to London via Matlock, and to the left (where the vans are parked) the Great Central Fallowfield Loop towards Fairfield and Gorton.
