Looking south-eastwards from the site of the first Cadishead station, towards Skelton Jn. The bridges cross Liverpool Road, the former A57 until the bypass was built. To the immediate right, in the gap between the embankments was the access ramp to the Stockport-bound platform of the newer line, and originally the ramp for the Liverpool-bound platform.
