A view through the train window of the "El Baldío" railway substation alongside the new Plasencia - Cáceres high speed line. Note that this new line is electrified at 25 kV 50 Hz, the Spanish standard for high speed lines, despite this section being a very long distance from the nearest other electrified railway, and there being no rolling stock available to take advantage.
